About two hours after the arrest, a case was registered against Shahbaz Gill in the Kohsar police station of Islamabad under the section of sedition, incitement against institutions. The text of the case states that Shahbaz Gill incited and threatened the civil bureaucracy to revolt and tried to instigate the state institutions including the civil bureaucracy to disobey the orders of superiors.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to approach the Islamabad High Court against the arrest of Shahbaz Gill, for which a legal team has been constituted. After the arrest of Shahbaz Gill from outside Bani Gala, an emergency meeting of the PTI leadership was held under the chairmanship of Imran Khan, in which the situation after the arrest of Dr. Shahbaz Gill was discussed in detail.
On the other hand, Tehreek-e-Insaf has asked the FIA for the details of Shahbaz Gill's arrest and a request has been filed to provide a copy of the FIR.
After the arrest of PTI leader Shahbaz Gill, other leaders have been alerted in view of the fear of further arrests.
